Wood identification Please

Picked this up out of my box of bits. Can someone please identify it for me. Photo shows before and after.

It looks like Yew to me but the bark doesn't look as flaky as the pieces I have in storage.

Think you are right Trev. What's thrown me was the bark not being very flaky. My knowledge on wood identification is not good so thanks for the quick reply.
Now think I know were I got it from. Hope they put the other bits in the shed I asked them to keep for me.

Looks more like a Leylandii or similar to me.

It's not yew. I would go with Chas' suggestion.
