Wood fuel boilers

Wood-fuelled boilers (not sure if they mean burners) and those which burn straw and other similar woody fuels have been added to the list of energy saving materials (Sch 7A of the VAT act). From 1st Jan they will be eligible for the reduced rate when installed in homes and certain charitable buildings. More info in Business brief 23/05. The general guidance in notice 7'08/6 energy saving materials' applies
