Had a couple of days with my daughter up in London this week and spotted the show was on at the Carpenters Hall. Quite a few well known turners were there with their work. Well worth a visit. Most of them were quite happy to talk and explain how they did what they did. Some beautiful stuff and the quality of most of it was amazing. Certainly gave me some idea of what to aim for and made me aware of how far I have yet to go. Quite surprised jusst how much of the stuff on display was ordinairy as opposed to way out artistic but the difference was in the workmanship and finish. Also surprised at the prices that people were charging. A lot less than I would have expected. Any one else manage to make it?
