If you solder the flex you run the risk of screwing through the soldered flex or creating a hotspot over time. Flex is designed as such to displace and make the maximum surface contact within the connector in screwed connections.
The type of crimps above are fine as they are tougher than solder yet still allow the flex cores to displace and assist installation.
I trained as an Aircraft Avionics Engineer and 99.9% of connections are crimped on the core systems using calibrated crimping tools. Solder was used occasionally for non critical applications, speakers etc.
