hi guys, I am in the process of renting a workshop for my business. it is 5m wide and the roof slopes from 2.5 m to 2m. does anyone know if a wall saw exists that will fit under the tall side taking into account the slope. any advice would be appriciated.

thanks, clive

Hi Clive

The Safety Cut is only a crosscut saw and as such it really doesn't have the versatility required for a commercial operation. I suppose the crux of the matter is what size sheets will you be handling? Most panel saws are designed to take a 1.4m or wider sheets which makes them a tight fit (if they'll go in at all) under a 2m roof, but they will generally length rip a 10ft sheet. At the start you might be better looking at getting the sheet supplier to do your heavy ripping for you and then crosscutting on something like a 4ft crosscut table/panel saw. Alternatively I've broken down in the past on trestles with a sacrificial "criss-cross" framework using a straight edge and a portable saw.

Scrit
