Larch has been a traditional fence post wood for a long time. Has good rot resistance. Dont think the douglas fir would last long in the ground.

Both pretty durable.

Wrap the bottom section just above concrete line with bitumin like flashband or buy post boots. If the ends are looked after even treated softwood will last 15 years or more.
