Which Planer thicknesser do you rate??

Why can't we have a rating system on this forum like they do on other forums for machinery. etc????
You know the sort, best price, performance, if you were happy with it, price etc...
It would make life easier for people who are starting up?
Maybe the managers of the site can't be bothered to set one up but i think it would be a good idea......what do you lot think???

Possibly because everyone wants different things from their machines and so has differing opinons and views? I think it might prove to be pretty unreliable unless lots of caveats etc. are added

The "managers" of this site is Charley, who works damned hard for no reward. Indeed, he has subsidised it since day one, so please, don't paint a picture of idleness, it's not the case. He does this in his own time out of passion and the rest of us benefit.

Tony is quite right: There is not a "one size fits all " solution, for exactly the same reason we each own different vehicles, types of house, do different work etc etc.
There are plenty of reviews opinions and feedback here on this site if you care to do a little research and countless further out on the internet in general...
If you have a specific question fine, but to try and reach concensus by generalisation is meaningless.
Ask, read, learn, decide and commit is the general route to PT enlightenment

If you can be "bothered" to use the forum's search facility, then you will find threads on most machinery. You will also find opinions and comments which are much more useful than a rating.

although it shows a last update of 2006, i'm sure it is newert hen that. Why not ask neil to update it?
