Alun very kindly sent me over a couple of DVDs some weeks back in order to help me out with bowls ect, i will now return them to him with the addition of one of these pens, and also has a Well done for your new job too.

Both are cigar pens, the first is Yew, i actually made 2 but one split as it got too hot.
The second is Blue acrylic, sorry for poor photos but did them in a rush

Very very nice Steve, if I rushed my photo's you would not see anything  The Yew is nice, will see if he goes for wood or acrylic!!
Well done, and keep them coming.

Very, very nice, Steve - both of them. The yew has it for me but really like the acrylic too.

Have got some cigar kits just recently arrived - looking forward to giving them a go.

Steve !!! There's nae need to have done that, man !

Both of those are just absolutely gorgeous !...
if I were to pick one from the pair, perhaps the yew just shades it... but its heck of a close ! Just by a hair's breadth, the yew one !

Honestly, there was no need
But... in saying that, I would be absolutely honoured to sign my new contract with an 'original Steve Beard writing instrument' ... that would indeed be an absolute honour !
( and lots of other writing afterwards too ! )

You're an absolute gentleman, Sir .. and you hang on to the dvd's as long as you like.... I found them quite entertaining and really informative.

What an honour.. I'm 'stoked', as they say !
Thank you :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks all for the comments, it was nice to turn a few pens again.

Alun, its my pleasure sir, many thanks for sending the dvds and letting me take my time with them, they have been a great help. I will have to check if i still have your address.

Recon, choose your acrylics carefully, i have a few that you can see right through and no matter how thick you turned them you would still see through them.
One way is to paint the tubes, either black, white or a matching colour to the acrylic you are turning.
when turning them take light cuts, they can chip out very quickly and it is difficult to cut it back if you dont have enough acrylic left.

Guess what just arrived with the Postman !!!

Steve, that pen is even more stunning in the flesh... its fantastic !
I shall treasure that always -- you're an absolute gentleman.
I Love it 8) 8) 8) 8)
I cannot thank you enough.. it's PERFECT :D :D :D :D :D

Signed,-
One very happy camper, indeed !! 8) 8) 8) 8) :D :D :D :D

Steve, you are a gentleman.
Not only can you turn a really nice pen, you are a very nice man as well.
That was a nice thought and deed. BTW the Yew does it for me as well.

i've just noticed, what on earth are you doing up at 5:52 on a Sunday morning?
It's as bad as recon, he's up at 2:01 in the morning. Mind you I'm not sure if that's local time or our time.
