Hi, I'm quite new to woodworking and I'm slowly adding tools to my shed.
I'm looking for an 18 gauge brad nailer and have narrowed it down to two
Stanley APC-BN 50mm Brad Air Nailer
Tacwise DGN50V Nailer.

I wonder if anyone here has used these and which you would choose.
Thanks in advance for any help
Bob

I have had a Makita AF505 for about 1 year use it all the time, it has never jammed or misfired once =D> also has a 3 year warranty. Works well from a small 24ltr capacity compressor.

Just noticed you are in Lincolnshire. I am in Boston, if it is not too far you are welcome to come over sometime and see if the Makita would suit your needs (hammer) .

Regards,

Keith

Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately, the budget wont stretch to a Makita as I still have the compressor to buy.......and a drill press.......and a table saw.......and a sliding mitre saw. And the new shed arrives on Friday #-o

I have an Axminster brad 50mm nailer. It hasn't had a great deal of use (nor have my other tools recently :( ) but for the price it seems perfectly adequate.

It maybe a little late on this thread, but I have a Axminster stapler and a Bostitch brad nailer. The difference is night and day. The Bostitch is a pleasure to use but the stapler is nowhere near as good and the safety is a bit of metal that you slide under the trigger. Bostitch or similar is definitely worth the extra in my opinion.

Wait until Aldi or Lidl have their compressor for sale. They will pretty much always have a nail/pin gun for sale at the same time as with many other tools through the year all with 3 year guarantee. Well worth the wait
