......would you suggest.

I like Bosch as a manufacturer and would prefer to go battery driven for ease of use. I would also want it to be a hook & loop system too for pad replacement.

anyone know if there are any good offers on that might swing me onto them???

Thanks

Fein Multimaster

Do you mean the standard triangular pads that come with the saw or the extra sanding accessory set? While I agree 100% that the triangular pads are the bees knees - as is the Fein in general - but have to say I was underwhelmed by the sanding accessory set. Fiddly to use. Paper kept slipping out.

It's mains powered but have you considered the Bosch PMF180E multi-tool - it has a detail sander fitting but can also be used with saw blade attachments for flush sawing.

I must admit I would be interested to hear what the little profile sanding addition to the Fein is like - is this what you are talking about? It seems to take normal sanding paper folded over a profile and clamped to secure. I would use it for sanding in between architrave and the like. Anyone have any ideas?

Jonesy - the fein is the original PMF180E gadget. It is the same sort of thing but a bit better (lets see what that does!! )

Thanks all

Neil
