Good morning folks - I have an Axminster cast iron 10" table saw, axminster thickness/surface planer and an Axminster bandsaw that I purchased from Axminster approx. 2 years ago. I rarely use them being a guitar maker - where would be the best place to advertise them for sale?

Many thanks..

Established members just put up a post advertising the items in this Forum, but being a new member, perhaps not - failing that Ebay.

Drat and double drat!

Lancashire! Why is all the big gear so far from Kent....

I might have sold the cats and got the bandsaw....

Blast!

Jim

I thought Tom kept those of you in Kent supplied with goodies ?

I'm in Brum tomorrow and again Next Sat (going down empty) so could bung something in the back of the estate (assuming it's not all 3 items) and drop it off en-route or in\around the W Midlands - if it makes life easier for someone!

Whenever a lathe comes up for sale I always think "Why are they always in Kent!"...

That's ironic! Most of the lathes that I know of any vintage (like my two) are made in Lancashire!!!!

I think we need to sort this country out NOW!!

:D :D

Anyway...I probably couldn't afford it! How much is it kind sir?

(see..I am starting on the bleedin' slope again...it must be living near Tom that does it!! )

Jim

Seems to me that all the good stuff is always at the opposite end of the country to wherever you happen to live......

In this case it's only down the road from me.......but I don't need it !

Chris.

From what I've read and my limited experience I thought the bandsaw was one of the luthiers biggest assets? Certainly if you're building solid bodies

I couldn't do without mine that is for sure...but you don't need a giant machine for that purpose. My DW739 is just about the right size really. It takes a tiny blade for fine circular cuts and the 5/8" 3 skip is fine for resawing....but that I use for other projects...not guitars.

For acoustic work I almost entirely work with hand tools.

What kind of guitars do you build Lutherian?

Jim
