Where can I buy Hickory in the UK ?

I am looking for a supplier / importer of Hickory based in the UK, the further north the better. After trawling the net and 20 or 30 phone calls, I am no further forward. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Have you tried John Boddy? They import from and export to North America and so might be able to help or at least put you onto someone who can assist. This isn't a common timber as one of it's few uses seems to be for hammer hefts and the like, so I suspect that it may just be imported in pre-sawn turning blank form

It is definitely Hickory I need, but I had no idea it would be this difficult to find.

Not had any contact for years, but see they still list Hickory and they are in Manchester. Might be worth a call.
