Wheels for a Jessem Rout R table?

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone who has a Jessem Rout R table has managed to find locking stem casters that fit the legs?

I'm pretty sure that these from Rockler in the states will but that's £50 incl. delivery.

When I look at the table on the Rutlands site it suggests I might like these wheels designed for the Xact Table but doesn't state the thread diameter. I'll ring them next week but wondered if anyone had been through this already and fiound a solution.

Yep, I had that problem.

The threads in the legs are some imperial size. I drilled out and rethreaded to M10 I think and then just fitted some locking swivel wheels with a M10 threaded stem that I bought on eBay.

I will check the size and report back.

Rutlands very kindly just checked for me and the ones that they sell don't fit. Shame.

I always get my castors from Atlas who sell on the bay ( item number 121390697190 ) - a lot cheaper at about a tenner and they are good quality.

I usually fit the 5" type on bigger machines but seeing as the Jessem is so light these work a treat + I didn't want it much higher.

The thread on mine is 3/8 x 16 BSW but typically I couldn't find any so I had to cut the thread on some other bolts.

That's really helpful, thank you! So are you saying that the thread on the Jessem table is 3/8 x16 bsw? I've found some 3/8 whitworth hex bolts online. Should they fit then? What length would I need?

Edit: just ordered a couple of sets of those casters and some 3/8 bolts - thanks a lot for the info Merlin - I've spent ages trying to find something for the table.

I've never had to buy casters before and always assumed they had a fixed stem. Good to know i can swap the bolts, thanks.

Just thought I'd update this - the casters arrived promptly and the 3/8" bolts i got from fleabay fit fine. The casters are really nice and feel well built. It makes it really easy to move the router table around so I'm well pleased with them. Thanks for the advice, especially Merlin for posting photos of the actual casters on the same table.
