Hello,
I used a Steve Knight infill about ten years back, which was based on something like a Norris A 4 non adjuster, or a 14, it wasn't an exact copy. It was as ugly as sin in my opinion, but could plane timbers that no other plane available could touch. Performance wise, it was great, but otherwise I didn't care for it.
I also like the Krenov style ones I make. They work well, have a certain romantic charm to them and I enjoy using a tool I have made. I think at the moment, I really favour a Veritas LA jack. It is so perfectly well engineered, I can't help smile when I use it. But next week, it will probably be something else!
Mike.
