Serious question!

A friend of a friend had these stored in their barn and had to clear them quick as the new owners didn't want it sitting there next week when they move in...

There's 32 boards here (1300 x 1100 x 40 mm) and I still have another 50 to collect, they are old staging boards and by the look of them they were pretty static as all they need is a quick sanding.

I know I need a new workbench and being around 20-ply they would be perfect. But as for the rest, what would you do? Can they be used for stair-making and other structural joinery?

Or shall I try and sell them on as their original purpose, staging boards?

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Stick 'em up on eBay quick sale buy it now...

...And watch those b******s rob you of 10% as a 'Final Value Fee'...!! :x

Maybe there are people nearby on the forum who'd be interested? Otherwise, try the local market sites, where it's usually free to list items.

My suggestion was of COURSE after all offers on the board were exhausted!

I actually earned about twice my weekly wage from using "those b******s" this week...I don't know what all the fuss is about fees...it is the cost of success...if it didn't work they wouldn't be able to command it. You can always factor that cost into the price....

Each to their own I suppose!

It would be ideal for a workshop floor, in total there's 120 m2 and after the new workbench is built there should be a considerable amount left that I may consider selling on...?

Unfortunately, it's stored in my workshop in sw France so shipping would possibly kill the deal..

How many m2's would you be looking at?

55 m2 at the min. Could round it up to 60m2.

Just in the process of chopping it for new workbench, I'll keep you posted.

Hi, Where abouts in SW France are you? I live near Limoge in the Limousin and might be interested in some of your boards if you still have them. Cheers Tim.
