I only know of one. 'Woodturning.' There are probably other ones in America though I may be wrong. Some of the other woodwork magazines have articles in them sometimes.

Same here - I get Woodturning on subscription - and that was before I heard a certain forum member was going to have his workshop featured in it...

I look forward to my mag dropping through the letter box each month

Gives me something to do in bed

And I see it as some support for the industry , no mag no link to the world of turning

Latest product reviews
trade adds
projects
visits to turners workshops
timber suppliers
readers gallery

these are just a few topics

:p

Thats the one I get - Don't know if there's many other ones...
I'm not certain but I seem to remember mention of the AWGB having one for it's members, but not 100% certain about that

Have only been getting it for about 6 months,
--- all arranged online, subscription etc, and I think its pretty good VFM.
Agree absolutely with what Allen ( Blister ) said about the 'support for the industry'

For what is, in reality, a fairly specialised 'niche market', its well presented, well written and informative.

Woodturning also !

There seemed to be 13 issues last years though ! - jan - dec and a winter one ?

Perhaps it's 4 weekly and not monthly.
I don't subscribe to it, I just buy it when I find something in it that particularly interests me.

wood turning for me too - for i dont subscribe either , just buy it when the fancy takes me.

the other one is "the wood turner" but i gave up buying that because i got very anoyed with the pedantry of some ogf their columists and the fact that their projects never seemed to go beyond the ubiquitous...

I dont know of any other dedicated turning publications but i sometimes buy woodworker or (when it was around) trad wood when they had turning projects.

I also subscribe to woodturning, can't wait to get it every month.
Very good articles and good information.

Malcolm

Thanks all for your tips. Looks like it will be Woodturning the one and only!!!!!
I will have to subscribe as i live in "Hill Billy Country" This way i only have to walk to the front door to get my copy. :D

Hello Dermot,

I also subscribe to woodturning, it is a lot easier getting it in the post than driving the seven miles, paying to park and paying full price for it in wh smiths, I can tell you!!

(I holiday in sw scotland every year and adore your part of the world.)
