I bought an Excalibur table saw last year and this came with it. The saw was made in Taiwan and this thing also has a made in Taiwan sticker on it. It is made of aluminium and the large plastic knob adjusts its width. It has two magnifying tape measure markers, under which are what look like micro adjusters. The aluminium is the same dimensions as a mitre track, and it fits nicely over the fence. I’m baffled!

I bought it second hand and the seller was selling his late father's stuff, it didnt come with a manual. I agree it looks like a stop but it seems to be in the wrong orientation. Thanks for the reply

I see there is a router table wing and its likely to be more for that side of the machine. Fence will be likely common to both functions. Have not seen one like it but as The Tiddles has noted it has the look of an adjustable stop. Was tyere any other stuff came with it. Reason I ask is router fences can sometimes have all sorts of built in stuff including dust extraction ports.
Regards

Does it fit on the same rail that the fence clamps to? and provide a micro adjust capability for the fence? I have the earlier model Xcalibur TS and keep meaning to add such a facility to mine.

It fitted on my version of the excalibur fence but mine was the 3hp cabinet saw not the contractors version like yours seem to remember it was very adjustable it could also be used on a router fence as i said very adjustable

That’s a great idea. It fits, and would work. It even looks like there is space to fit a tape measure to the front of the fence as well.

Most often used on the extended fences on radial arm saws and mitre saws that are built into a long bench. It's a stop for repetitive cuts. A tape measure permanently attached to the top of the fence made easier to see and set a distance with the magnifiers.
