The title says it all really.

I'm considering starting up a blog now that i'm more active in the workshop, but I know what I like in a blog, what do you all like? What are your favourite wood-based blogs?

Secondly, and this is probably a bad idea and potentially open to all kinds of insluts and general slurs upon my person :) What should I call the blog?

B to the three...
Hmm we'll have to start calling you Nev. :) but who will be Mr Angry Pants...

I like interesting pictures and thought provoking commentary. I quite like a blog to take me somewhere new.

Ignoring blogs perpetrated by UKW members for a moment I like to look in on Konrad Sauer from time to time,

http://sauerandsteiner.com/news/, I ve just found this chap, http://web.mac.com/dmath/iWeb/Woodworking/Blog/Blog.html, and Kaleo Kala's site at http://kalafinefurniture.blogspot.com/
Last but not least Adam Cherubini's infrequently updated blog is always good.

Keeping blogs going is harder than it seems. MY last attempt was about 5 years ago, I lasted about three months before I got bored with it so good luck.

Cheers Mike .

Seconded. I kept mine up for a year, after that I was all blogged out.

I haven't had time to write or read blogs for ages.

My best advice is keep it short and sweet with plenty of pictorial.

Thanks for the feedback guy's, the links most appreciated. I'm also a reader of the konrad. I've got a long list of 'blog' subjects so I should have enough content for a good while, but i'll take on board the comments so far.

I did actually resurrect my blog a little while ago as a potential alternative to visiting these shores. It lasted all of three posts before general life ennui took over. Praps Ill return to it. In fact I might go there now!
:)

Cheers Mike

ps happy birthday - just noticed that.

make sure you let us know the link Mike, I've got a decent list of blogs and would be happy to add yours to it even if it is intermittent.

"Perpetrated by UK Workshop members".....Mike - you make it seem so dirty
Philly :D

That's how I like it.
:)

Cheers Mike

It's a very very odd video

but then he's a very very odd man.

Cheers Mike

Have you seen the original, Mike? He is playing a three neck Ibanez - fretless 6, regular 6 and twelve string. And at the same time - pretty impressive!
Philly :D

Not seen the original of that video, the sound on that vid is obviously not the man himself but been edited on for laughs which is the oddest bit. To spend that much time syncing such a long soundtrack to the video...

There's also the guitar lifestyle blog where that video was originally linked from by the way .

Go there, watch the Eric Mongrain video ! :)

cheers Mike
