Just finished the whale from a Judy Gale Roberts pattern. The aquarium is expanding. :D

Lovely piece of work Don.

I really like the burnt lines on the belly/chest? Nice choice of woods too.

Well done.

Thanks for the comments.
It was cut from one piece of wood and stained on the darker parts. I gave it 2 coats of stain and then the whole thing got a coat of Cellulose Sanding Sealer. It was rubbed down with ScotchBrite (white) and given 2 coats of Liberon Black Bison (clear) and a rub with a clean cloth.
I glued it all together and to the backing, added a hanger, and a final wipe with a clean cloth after hanging on the wall. Every time I see it I give it a wipe with the duster.

take care
Don W
PS Quite happy with the finish, not too shiny but not too dull.

Thanks Brian,
I am sure you are the one who gave me the idea on finishing and I think some of it may have been retained in my rather feeble brain.
I must admit I am quite pleased with it.

take care
