And 36 bids - must be his friends?

And over 73,000 hits, at the time of posting this - it must have appeared in one of the newspapers, recently, or something... :p

He also does mention the wear around the neckline in his description.

Made me smile. :)

Ebay have threatened to remove the listing for 'contravening' their listing rules. They haven't as of this morning,
If they do so then I'll never use ebay again.

I think Ebay are probably aware of the negative effect for their reputation if they pull the add

£10,900

but.... will the winner pay up?

2 days ago it reached £9099 then dropped back to £8???.

I've since seen it go over £11,000 and now it's dropped back again.

It appears some Silly-Billies are bidding then retracting. I hope the eventual winner is not one of them as this is obviously a very very worthy cause.

Happened again. Went over £11,000, now back to £10,100. People messing around.

Suspect this sale won't go through.

If you click on the bids and scroll to the bottom of the page you can see which bids have been retracted. An awful lot of people 'entered the wrong amount'; it's an easy mistake to make, I'm always entering £109,001 by accident...

I also like the way some sellers retract bids stating 'Seller changed the description of the item' and 'not responding to messages' etc, oh it's the sellers fault not yours you bloody time waster
