The vol III of Betty Norbury's mission to market the incredible skills of UKs furniture designer makers has finally arrived.
Bespoke it's entitled and has David Savage writers chair on the cover.
The level of skill and design is mind boggling and I must say had me slumped in the chair muttering to myself about how I'll never get near what these people produce.
But I'm ascending out of the dip now, a day later and thinking at least I should try. Plan: first emulate the craftsmanship and then emulate the design skills, it maybe a 20 year mission and it will most certainly remain a hobby, it may take a lot more help and some basic design course but surely the journey will be worth it.
I'll never give up my day job but this book and it's predecessors are so inspiring and awestriking at the same time
