Set the new saw up yesterday. After reading several books and watching some demonstrations on the outer, I set about producing my first scrollsaw project.
It was taken from one of the books I've got.

I have to say that there were a few failures before I come up with these two and it took longer to paint than cut out.
As a first I feel quite chuffed, but I can see there is a lot of room for improvement. Still practice makes perfect.
Lets see what tomorrow brings.

Tell me about it  . I've spent minutes cutting out segmentation, hours shaping it and weeks painting!

Your first attempts look to be commendable. Well done!
:)

agree with Gill, looks pretty good to me, you will only get better with time and painting, oh dont go there, bain of my life..

Looks really good Waka.
I'm chomping at the bit to get scrolling, but can't find one at the right price on ebay, prices are totally silly just now.
I've been having a problem viewing images on this website but I can see all of your photo, which is a welcome development.

Thanks for sharing Waka :D

I'd be very pleased with your effort ,and most certainly with your painting . I am hopeless . Thanks for showing.
