My computer has 2 little friends - I-Worm/Bagle and Exploit.MS04-011
Been in the AVG Pro virus vault for sometime but I think it's time to get rid of them. Any ideas? Please bear in mind I just about know how to use a computer but little else.
Are the virus and bug cleaning tools much use?
Not sure I handle a clean re-boot thing.

Thanks in advance

Noel

PS, or is it ok just to leave them in the virus vault where I presume they are quarantined?

Hi Noel,
I had a lot of trouble with trojans on my work PC recently, and had to turn to online forums for help in cleaning it up - our corporate anti-virus package and IT department weren't up to the job.

No single security program will pick up everything, unfortunately, so a multipronged approach is needed if you're concerned about viruses, spyware, trojans etc.

The quarantined viruses should be ok, but if you want to thoroughly check, cleanup and protect your PC i'd recommend visiting
http://www.geekstogo.com
and following the advice regarding malware etc. The guys there are very helpful, much like on this forum :)

Hi Noel

You can delete them from the virus vault.

You prompted me to take a look in mine as I'd not really bothered...just relying on good old AVG to trap them and store them in the vault. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see how many had been trapped!! I just deleted them.

You only need to resort to other programs IF you get infected.
