I need to veneer a couple of fascia boards for a mate. They are completely flat and I have a nice walnut burr veneer which he sourced. I don't have a veneer bag press. I was thinking of running the boards through a thicknesser very gently to get the old chipped surface off, then using the kind of bag which you can vacuum pack clothes in. I have looked through the search facility here and various people have suggested that for simple flat veneers this will give enough suction. What does anyone think? Also what glue would you use??
Thanks everyone - veneering is something I have always wanted to do but have never had the nerve so far!
Cheers Mark
