Meyers are good, also timber depot are in Larkfield.

A smaller sheet material supplier is Prenden panels

Probably MDF (horrible stuff) is cheaper and easier to work with? Ply is still available. I made my kitchen doors entirely in wood (oak) - no MDF or ply.

Speak with Lathams. They do Walnut or Oak on ply, BUT it is prelacquered which in my opinion is better for cabinet internals. If you do get it they also do pre-laq pre glued edging.
