I have a seven year old daughter, who, like many I guess, has a growing collection of hair bands, brushes, make up, etc. These are kept in several plastic boxes, some of which have lids that close, others do not. Time had come to replace the plastic with something a little better (hopefully).
I had some ash liberated from the auction in Ledbury last April and thought that this might be good for the project. First, an admission. I had hoped to show off a new skill of hand cutting dovetails. I have a growing pile in the corner of my attempts so far . I decided that it would be best to play safe.
The box will have a top section with a lid and a drawer underneath. The front, sides and back are joined by biscuits. There is a plywood base to the top section and two runners for the drawer.
Plenty of glue and clamps
There it is, finished.
Hope you like it.
