UV resistant finish

Hi,

Anybody know of a good clear finish with good UV resistance?

I want to finish a purple heart turned pen and would like the colour to remain.

Most of the water based varnishes have good UV resistance and do not change the colour of the wood as much as oil based finishes. But I am not a turner so I think you best wait for a spiny member to give their advice before you go using it on your pen. :roll:

Car dashboard spray is normally high in UV resistance - don't know if it would be best on it's own,or over the top of another finish,though :?
