Bill,
It looks like there will be five of us for lunch: Paul Hannaby, Soylent1, sheptonphil, you and me. As it is an informal lunch, I suggest we go to the same place as last time and book a table; if we end up as four or six, I doubt that it would matter.

See you on 17th of next month,

Looking forward to it.

Have now banked sufficient brownie points for the day out, gotta be better than being in debt to the missus.

Phil

Right.

Paul, Bill (EnErY) and I know each other, so will have little problem in meeting up.

I suggest that Soylent1 and Sheptonphil wear jockstrap and waders so we should be able to tell them from (most of) the other visitors.

More sensibly, I suggest we meet up in the shop at, say, 10.00am. Does that suit everyone? Don't forget that the parking is "Pay and Display", too. Postcode for your satnav is NP10 8TW, and there is a map (of sorts) on their website at http://www.iscawoodcrafts.co.uk/contact.html.

Over to you, Bill, to arrange the lunch venue.

Unless you are a National Trust Member, then it's free as long as you are displaying current membership sticker.

A bit worried there, I haven't got any waders, only wellies.

Phil

OK, wellies and knotted handkerchief headgear (a la Monty Python brain surgeon) will have to do!!
Perfect, my hankie co-ordinates well with the jock strap, so my outfit for the day sorted. Happy fays.

Phil

A reminder to all those intending to go - Isca Woodcrafts fair at Newport this coming Saturday (17th). Meet up at the shop at 10.00 am.

Any last minute additions to the members going are always welcome.

I hope EnErY has booked us a suitable venue for lunch?

See you on Saturday.

Hi Bill,

I don't think anything has changed from my post a while back which said

"It looks like there will be five of us for lunch: Paul Hannaby, Soylent1, sheptonphil, you and me. As it is an informal lunch, I suggest we go to the same place as last time and book a table; if we end up as four or six, I doubt that it would matter."

Paul should be there, as he is bringing me something I have bought from him!!

See you on Saturday

Hi sorry guys, but I won't be able to make it this year. Unfortunately I sometimes (mostly) have to work at short notice on weekends. Hopefully I will be able to meet some of you at some point in the future. Anyway hope you all have a nice day there!

Sorry to hear you won't be there Tony. Hopefully see you next time.

It was nice to see a few old friends again at the show. The game of guess the phone number was something different ;)

My wood purchases didn't get past the sentry undetected when I got home but I almost got away with it :)

Well me and the good lady had a nice hour out down there, cracking weather.
Some very very very good work on display and the carvings were fantastic. I've never been to Isca Woodcrafts before and I must say I was mighty impressed with some of their timber, especially the purple heart and I'll be going back for some of their ebony.
All in all I enjoyed myself and it was good to watch (and learn) from some of the turning demo's.
Might have to go join the Crow Valley boys, don't have an excuse not to as I only live 5 minutes away.
Looking forward to next year.
Thanks for the heads up guys =D>
