Unknown abbreviations

I went to a new timber yard to get an idea of the prices of wood for my workshop. He ran me a quote off and I didn't look at it till I got home. There were some abbreviations I didn't understand.

Its the FBC and PTG

47mm x 100mm KD C16 Sawn FBC SGS-COC-2076
22mm x 125mm whitewood PTG SGS-PEFC/COC 0041

He also said it was 5th grade which I wasn't sure about.

Scrit has helpfully provided me with the other abbs.

Not sure about FBC, but isn't PTG Planed Tongue and Groove, ie floorboards.

Probably nothing like, but you never know.

Are you sure its FBC? Could it be FSC?

FSC is the Forest Stewardship Council
SGS is the Society General de Surveillance
COC is Chain of Custody

The only FBC I can find that has anything to do with timber is Fraser Basin Council in Vancouver

This is all to do with sustainability and being able to track timber back to source
