but have sorted a 45 and 55 degree bowl gouge :p :p

I wouldn't buy one they are so easy to make out of wood. Plenty plans for these jigs on the 'net'. Money best kept to buy more timber. :)

Hi.

Sorry! I should have left some links for the stuff I used.

After seeing many different ideas on jigs, I decided that the easiest would be to have as little moving parts as possible, (let's face it you only use the jig on long grind bowl gouges.) so after making three holders with different angles on the leg I have settled on one. 45deg. that way with the use of a 'story board' to set the 'V' rest it takes seconds to replicate the grind.

You don't need to make the lower arm as long IF you only use the jig for bowl gouges. All others can be sharpened free hand on a flat table, this was the method I finally used.

OR put in a google search for "gouge sharpening jig" there are loads around.

Good luck if you make one.

Blister not intending taking over your thread, just passing on how I went about it.

or.... you could buy a drill sharpening jig for around £8 or £9 and modify it
