Hi

Can anyone help me I have created a series of drawers which have varying sizes and they have a rounded over edge, the problem is when I want to take a measurement of the height of each drawer its giving a few mis-measurements which is due to the roundover, is there anyway around this?

Cheers

You have to have a real, tangible point for the dimension tool to find, so if there isn't one, the answer is to create one.

Sometimes I want my leader lines to end well short of the actual feature and the way I do it would work in your case, too.

First make a set of construction lines. If you are trying to get to drawer tops then these would be horizontal. Then, to the side of the drawers, draw a vertical line from the bottom (or other datum) to the construction line. Then from that point to the next construction line, and so on.

Now you can dimension to these lines without worrying about the roundovers. Delete your construction lines and your temporary vertical lines and you have your dimensions.
