Triton TWX workcenter

In another post I am asking for advice about power tool selection for a small workshop. My major acquisition so far, resulting from a rush of blood to the head when I visited Yandles, is the new Triton TWX workcenter. There was some logic because I already had a Triton router.
Overall I am really pleased with it. It is sturdy, well built and stable. I bought it mainly as a router table but I need a reasonably accurate table saw too. Triton sell a contractor saw module for this table (and also a "project saw") and it is really easy to change the modules.
My question is, does anyone have any experience of this workcenter and in particular the saw module and how good is it?

Hi John,

Probably not many people own it as it's new. I used to have the previous workcenter and loved it. Although I decided to get a tracksaw/bandsaw combination. The old workcenter used tritons regular circular saw which you fixed in place when needed. It was noisy (as most circular saws are) but powerful.

The rip fence looks similar to the old design and worked well for me, although i would try to have the outfeed end very very slightly wider to avoid jams.

Hi Carl,

Thanks for your input. I am no woodwork expert but I am a pretty experienced engineer and I am really impressed with this workcenter so far. I have the router module which appears to be well thought out and designed. The only negative I can come up with is the table inserts around the router bit. They are flimsy and I will redesign this with more substantial ones.
The table itself is really solid and sturdy. My worry was that the contractors saw would be too compromised to be a serious, accurate piece of kit but I dont think it will be. I am going to go to Yandles and take a look for myself. i think, for an enthusiastic amateur like me it will be fine and it is certainly a bonus to have a compact setup like this.
