Triton Surface Planer TSPL 152

Needed to pickup a new desktop surface planer, due to abuse and age of my old one. The Triton caught my eye, likely due to the Orange. Owning two of their routers I thought why not.

On the weekend cutting a number of Cherry veneers, straight from the log, making a planer pass between cuts, I was delighted with the finish also the decibels are not to high either.

Risking the wrath of the neighbours on a Sunday, i jointed up about 15 pieces of oak for posts. The longest length approx 3’6”. Surprisingly out of the box the fence sat square.

Anyone looking for a bench top-planer. Your not going wrong with this one.

ace, not many u tube reviews of this device yet and been thinking of getting one, I have the thicknesser so will be a good pairing.

Yandles site has a video of a guy unboxing and setting up - way better than the instructions if you decide, or just want to see it.

You're very lucky to have found one - I spoke with Triton at the beginning of January and they didn't expect any stock until April.
