Hi All

Last Triton question !

Has anybody used/seen one of these? I can't seem to obtain much info about it, and am keen to do so. Things like size, weight, rip capacities etc. There's loads of stuff about the workcentre 2000, but not this thing.

Cheers

Karl

Karl, I have the WC 2000 and have only seen the compact saw in my local B&Q a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure they have discontinued making the compact so your only chance would be second hand. have a look at the Aussie Woodwork Forumsfor much more info on all things Triton. Ray Girling (Argee, on this forum) is a Triton demonstrator and I'm sure he will also be able to help.

The woodworking center at sywell had them last time I went there last summer if you mean the 7 1/4" version. Don't know if they still do though.
Cheers Andy

The "Compact Saw" is supplied as part of the Compact Saw Table. The saw is a 184mm (7¼") 2,000W model and - as far as I can tell - is not available on its own. I've never tried one, nor do I demonstrate them, but I have seen a couple. The trouble is that I'm used to a Workcentre, so the Compact seems just that - very compact.

The Compact Saw Table is sold in Australia as part number PTA001, but seems to be the TCB001 in the UK. Tritontools.co.uk shows it here as TCB100. I've obtained an instructions manual for it (in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format) for you which you can download here for further info. To summarise, it has a 450mm (18") rip capacity either side of the blade, compared with the Workcentre's 620mm (24"). Depth of cut is 52mm (2"). There are accessories you can fit to it - including a Router Kit. If you need any more info, try Googling TCB100, or let me know. HTH :)

Ray.
