Made a simple trestle today to support long things. Also made a height adjustable top for it which is not yet fitted but I am not sure how well that will work out.

Sorry but, to be brutally honest, she's beaten you hands down!

Although I bet yours will still be there tomorrow!

If you made another trestle, and top, you could get lots and lots of those trouser tighteners on the top!
Regards Rodders

I really hope your trestle works for you, along time ago I made 6 a bit like yours ie. folding with a cord to hold the legs and they turned out to be the biggest pain in the @rse ever, any slight movement of the work piece on top would rock the legs and they would steadily close up and fall over without constant adjustment.
It was the string that was the problem it needs something to hold the legs apart as well as together!
nice cakes though!!

I find the same problem with roller stands, for the same reason, even though the rollers should stop it!

if it doesn't work I'll fit a piece of wood to hold them apart. Thanks for pointing it out something to watch out for in trials. Mrs MSeries made a cheesecake today while I painted my gate
