tool shop near Bedford?

I saw a forum entry by a newbie who had managed to get his hands on
some old tools (old S & J saw, Diston saw etc...) for a song.


Does anyone know a shop in or around BEDFORD that might have something like these?
Have looked on internet but no luck,

You might try the antique shops in Ampthill. The shop opposite the old cinema was quite good. Last time I visited (two years ago) there were some reasonably priced tools in amongst the junk, always worth a haggle.

Am familiar with the Emporium in Ampthill, but didn't think they sold any tools or such, so I guess you're not talking about them.
I don't know Ampthill but I will surely find these shops if they are there.
Shame there isn't anything nearer/more suitable.
I need to get some old saws, S&J or the like. Peacocks Auction in Bedford is sometimes very good but recently has been poor for tools, any in there are being bought by young men who think they are a builder if they own a cordless drill!!!
