Hello All,

I’ve had this fine brass wire cleaning brush for years, my fathers before it came to me, and it’s really useful for non aggressive cleaning surface oxidisation from tools, polishes nicely too without removing a tools patina and aged history of use. It’s now looking a little ragged, so I’ve been looking to replace, however, not so easy, only one place I’ve found stocks it, J Richards Surplus, but it’s been out if stock months. Any ideas where I may source another, does not have to be Cannings, just as long as it’s soft.

I replied to your other thread with a sude brush type solution then saw the pics on this thead. I don't know where to source a rotary type head that fine but I have used the polishing shop before so looked there first. You'd need to apply a spindle using summat dedicated or a locking nut and bolt... bit Heath robinson but should work no?

Thx BM, I read it. Connection playing up, so I’ve managed to post same subject twice, opps, can’t see how or if I can delete first post tho.

check a local jewelers supply store. A lot of their brushes are intended to mount on tapered screw threads on dental lathes/jewelers polishers, but the one I frequent also has tapered screw mounts (available in left or right hand thread) that attach to 1/2 or other motor shafts.
