I’m at the stage of assembling the boxes for the replacement sash window. The heads and cills are screwed(SS) into the pully styles, and I plan to nail the outer linings in place, there are no inner linings, odd design I’m reproducing. So overall the box will be fully mechanically fastened together. The housings for the pully styles in the chill are fairly tight but one or two slip in and out easily so there must be a minor gap.
My question is do I glue the window together also, heads and cills, and lining boards as they have a rebate to locate them? And if yes what glue?
I was heading towards PU glue to fill any gaps. They will be spray finished (once I’ve invested in an airless sprayer and worked out paint).
Thoughts please
