how do u knock the sharp \ crisp corners off the length of a board?

i always think a sander leaves a furry uneven edge

bit of a dumb question but i thought i would ask

I use a block plane. Not sure about anybody else.

Either a block plane finely set - a few passes normally do me. Or a folded piece of sand paper normally 120g , again a few passes just to knock the edges off.
