Hi, there is a easy way (or Thechinque) to cut the small pices to do the bowl?

The only way I can imagine is with a compund mitre saw but how to calculate the angle?

Hi , I WILL probably be corrected on this , but as far as I know most of these types of bowls and made as a block , then turned on a wood turning lathe to the finished shape

Stands back and awaits the correction

Have you tried googling 'segmented turning' ? ...some great sites out there with loads of info... particularly 'woodturning on line' if I remember correctly

I use Kevin Neelley's software for the arithmetic.
A jig for sawing the woodpieces in your photograph could well be done with his compound miter sled.

Apart from this sled you can find more useful info on his website for segmented turning.
