Well I ordered it Sunday night, this one

It arrived this morning and on the same delivery truck from Axminster was this
CT330_xl.jpg

I bought the stand for it too. :)

This afternoon £900 worth of American Black walnut turned up.

The Lyndhurst badged planer is unpacked but as yet is still in pieces, god it is heavy as is the fence for it, compairing the rubbish fence on my record PT 260's fence is like compairing a kiddies home made kart to a Chieftain tank
it must weigh in at about 40lb, it is huge , but it's perfectly formed :)

Gloat over. :D :D 8)

I don't know why but i get the impression that you are happy with your new toys

Very nice mate, very nice, enjoy.

I have the Jet/Axminster badge one.

Cheers

Mike

Thats fantastic, LN =D> - let us know how you get on with the planer in particular once its installed. I would be very interested to see the fence to compare to the Jet. Oh, and make sure to post your new toys on this thread

Thats a bit strange! Just coincidence, or is there some link between Lydhurst & Axminster?

Cheers,
Neil

Yes I'll post it in the forum user P/T when It's up and running.
I'll also post some pic of it showing it in more detail and when I 've tested it I'll post how good/bad it performs.

Just a coincidence I would think Lyndhurst are in Bristol, so both are in the west country as I am. :) :)

Hi LN,

can you post details as to where you purchased the aforementioned Lyndhurst Planer?

I'm not jealous!

No I'm not!

The kit looks substantial! Wow!

OK, I found it! the link is http://www.lyndhurstwoodworking.co.uk/detail.php?id=82

they also have a solid 150mm wide planer as well, for a good price.
It's no secret Brian, Interestingly Lyndhurst list the 200mm on their web site at £795 inc vat, ex works, but I bought it on Ebay "Buy it now" for £595 inc vat delivery another £65.
