As some of you may know I took delivery of a set of Sauer & Stainer planes about 18 months ago. Having now been using these for the last 18 months I feel, that its time to shed the other planes that I have in the arsenal that are no longer used.
So the following planes are up for grabs on the forum, please click on the pic for a larger view.
The prices quoted do not include P&P.

Please PM me with any interest, I will answer all PM's whether successful in the purchase or not.

Please feel free to make me an offer, but I can't guarantee that it will be accepted.

LN 9 1/2 Standard Angle Block Plane. £80.00 SOLD

LN 60 1/2 Low Angle Block Plane. £80.00 SOLD

LV Scrub Plane. £50.00 SOLD

LV Bevel Up Smoother. £120.00 SOLD

LV Bevel Up Jointer with Fence. £150.00 SOLD

LV Flat, Round & Concave Spokeshaves all three. £120.00 SOLD

LN Low Angle Smoother. £150.00 SOLD

In an attempt to aid in the marketing of these items I would say that the BU Jointer with the fence is a cracking good buy for some young whippersnapper around these here parts. :)

Nice items, Tony.

Tony

Thanks for help. I have tried to pitch them at what I consider is a fair price, at least on the forum I know they'll be going to good homes.

I have to say I have struggled with the decision to release these planes, but they have to go or I'll be classed as a collector and we can't have that.

I'm afeard that label got hung round your neck a loooong time ago, Waka and you won't loose it that easily  - Rob

Tony,

I am interested in which S&S planes allow the release of three spokeshaves... :D

What on earth are you going to put in your tool cabinet now?

I've ordered the spokeshaves from HNT Gordon in Aussy. Jeremy M brought them along at the recent bash and I just fell in love with them.

Regarding the cabinet; I'm afraid thats it's still full no plane slots empty and still a few in the drawers. I'd post a pic but you know what they'll all say

hi tony

now who are you trying to kid here , us or yourself

good luck with your sale though , i'm sure it won't take long to sell the lot at those prices, quality tools . hc

It would be very interesting to see a new photo of your tool cabinet, once all these planes have been sold! :D

That's a nice selection of planes, shame I have 2 out of 3 of those spokeshaves already! Tempted by the jointer with fence as my ability to plane a square edge for jointing is utterly abysmal, would call into question my ownership of a LN No 62 though

Doing the bump up on this one, only the LN Standard Block and the LV BU Jointer with fence left, if no takers they'll have to go back in the cabinet.

I'll take the LV BU Jointer with fence if it's still up for grabs... have sent you a pm
