A quick post to say thanks for the recent advice concerning which respirator to buy.
I bought a Trend Airace and wore it for the first time this morning. It fits perfectly under a full length face shield, didn't disturb my specs and didn't mist up at all. I even forgot I was wearing it and tried to blow some dust out from inside a bowl while I still had it on.
Furthermore, it may have even saved me from an expensive trip to the dentist when the unbalanced lump of wood parted company with the faceplate, even though I had the tailstock drive centre on the other end. The blank hit the new mask. The lesson there is not to use cheap screws as one of them had sheared and the other bent. All I was doing was cutting a recess so I could attach it to the chuck
