I took receipt of three Jet machines and accessories yesterday, a 13" thicknesser, morticer, spindle moulder, mobile base and CMT cutter block for the spindle moulder. from the tool agent, David Biven Woodworking machinery in Lancs.

I don't know if anyone has ever conducted business with David but if you are looking for woodworking machinery he is a very helpful and all round good egg. Besides which his prices were £££'s better than anyone else I could find.

I would also like to mention Nick Brown from Jet tools again he was able to sort out a problem relating to the recent hike in VAT which saved me a few more pounds. Thanks Jetman.

Just as a comparison set against a well known Jet tools supplier I saved over £230 on the spindle moulder alone. Admittedly some of that saving incorporates the rise in VAT but still a significant saving overall the equipment.

I would just like to state that I am a hobbyist woodworker only and have no financial interest in David Biven Machinery. I just thought it would be sensible to let others know of a tool supplier who cares about his customers.

Hi Olly,

I suppose it is a little excessive but why not? I was just so impressed by a Jet tablesaw I bought (long story) and the customer care I started looking at their tools as I am in the process of building a new workshop. I was trawling ebay and found that there was a Jet 12" disc and belt sander and a jointer (which I won,) again great tools, so just gone from there. The new tools are still in their crates in the garage but thought I would take advantage of the (Davids) low prices and the forthcoming VAT hike.

I will of course post some pics of the new workshop and kit, just need to build some benches first.

I also used Dave & Chris for a dust extractor the only thing springs to mind is two first class guys a pleasure doing business with them I would recommend them any time a massive THANKYOU from me
