I have just seen Peter Millard’s video with reference to Sautershop.

They have a 3m guide rail compatible with Festool for less than £100 - looks too good to be true.

Can someone do a sanity check for me before I buy one to make sure I am looking at the right thing?

Thanks

what is the postage though?

Yes, that was the bit I hadn’t spotted, standard dhl was 11 euros, but this isn’t standard.
do let us know because there may still be a good saving on the Festool version.

These are the older Festo-pattern rails; they work well for simple straight cuts, but lack the second upward-facing t-slot, so you won’t be able to use accessories like parallel guides or rail stops. But for simple straight cuts they’re good, and absolutely the best value 3-metre rail👌

btw, if you tag me in on a post (put an @ in front of my name) I’ll be notified about it and can respond in a more timely way. 👍

I had a look on YouTool's own site and they want 105 Euros for a 3m rail and 59 for shipping to the UK. Not sure I would sleep too well waiting for a 3m length of thin aluminium to make it to my door... in one [straight] piece 😬🤣
