Hi all
I took it upon myself to build my little boy a crib, but never did that. Then I was supposed to build him a cot, didn't do that either.
But I said if definitely build him a toddler bed. So the wife suggested a Tepee style bed.
So here it is.
All from reclaimed wood from double beds, shelves etc. All pine.
Simple glued mitre joints with metal brackets on the inside for reinforcement. Tepee bits are painted and lacquered at the top (to resemble a tree, green at the top to compliment the Winnie the Pooh theme), fixed using furniture screws into threaded inserts. Rest of the parts have a couple of coats of Osmo hardwax oil.
Lots of round overs on the main frame
Wanted to do fancy joinery, but time was against me. So stuck with the easy way.
