That's funny, I've got a 12" example (not mine) sitting right here waiting to be sharpened, minus the Lane Works info. Hand-saw Makers of Britain is silent on the company under that name, but it may be a second string brand for someone else? An index of names of manufacturer's works would be helpful at this point, but failing that I'm looking at a long trawl through the list on the off-chance. #-o I may not feel the urge to do that... :lol:

It's a long way away, so shipping would be high.
The handle looks lumpy and square, so I'm guessing recent.
It's probably a perfectly good user saw.

As we are on the subject of saw
I have an old tenon saw ( I think called a carcase saw ) with the name House on it and I think they where in Hamersmith.
A friend had an old disston with House of hammersmith on the blade.
I can post a pic if it helps
Ps its on longer a user as the blade is like snake
