OPJ, i'm going to try pocket hole screws for the face frame, simple butt joint, no tenons. Which raises the point that if I mould a profile (e.g. ogee or round over) on the rails/stiles before assembly then the rails will be too short (by the amount of profile I have to remove and mitre to allow the butt joint).
