I have been very kindly given a set of tools by a member of the forum. They are from his late father, but contain some items that I don’t recognise. So I thought you might like a quiz to demonstrate your tool knowledge prowess.

There are two marks per question. One for what it is and a second point for explaining how it is meant to be used. Each item will be posted in a separate post.

Q2 is a trammel. You put the point in the middle and turn the rest around it.

Q6 is junk. Ill take them from you. (Micrometer gauge blocks, you put them between the anvils and then set the guage to match for calibration)
