Hi,
Just been browsing t'internet and typed "Stencil" into Google Images and up popped 1000's of black/white images that look ideal for Scroll work :D
I know 99.99% of you will probably know this but for any newbies like myself its quite a find lol.

Tomorrow i will re-invent the wheel
Cheers

Good idea, has anyone tried these. My brain is a little over worked today and I can't get my head around whether a piece would all fall to bits if I cut these out. Would they need joined white lines throughout to stay together? Maybe one of you in the know could show us a, this one would work and this one wouldn't because... example?

Brian.

Thanks for posting, I have added the site to my favourites list.

Will give one a try when I have a bit of spare time.

The only observation, and this is my personal preference, I find it easier on the eye to cut too a single line as opposed to a solid/shaded area.

Take care.

Chris R.

you can do the same on google with the term "silhouette"

with regards to stencils, if they say together as a stencil they will stay together as a scrolled item, no one wants a stencil that you have to add bits in the middle. same is not always true with silhouettes as the aren't always going to be cut out, so you'll need to look at the image for bits that may fall out.

no good, the middle bits are unsupported, with a few sprues it would work but may not be the best with all those extra bits

fine but with some mods (some of the branches may leave voids which will need sprues)

perfect, everything is joined and the detail is just enough to hide my mistakes.
